Cony Villarroel, PhD candidate at CRiEDO, awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize.

The Doctoral School of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona held the award ceremony for the Extraordinary Doctorate Prizes on November 15, 2024.

Cony Villarroel has been awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize for her doctoral thesis: “Attention to Diversity in the Schools of Culture and Artistic Dissemination of Chile.” The doctoral thesis, supervised by Dr. José Luís Muñoz Moreno, explored the treatment of diversity in the Schools of Culture and Artistic Dissemination of Chile, focusing on the promotion of educational inclusion. The research highlighted the commitment of educational communities to promote educational projects aimed at inclusion, enabling the redefinition of participation, learning, and recognition of diversity for appropriate school and educational development.

The Extraordinary Doctorate Prizes recognize those doctoral theses that have received the highest grade of “Sobresaliente Cum Laude” and that, according to the Academic Committee of each Doctoral program, have stood out for their contribution and advancement in various fields of knowledge. The purpose of this recognition is to value the effort and dedication of young researchers and their contribution to the scientific field.
