Conference on teaching practices based on research evidence in continuing teacher training

On February 22, Joaquín Gairín offered a keynote lecture on “Teaching practices based on research evidence in the continuing education of teachers” as part of a relevant international academic visit and presented the operation of CRiEDO as a research center.

The epicenter of this educational event was the Subdirectorate of the BENV Postgraduate Studies Unit last Thursday. Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán, director of CRiEDO, played a crucial role during the international academic visit, collaborating in the development and implementation of the Master in Sciences for Learning, an inter-institutional program carried out in partnership with the Universidad Veracruzana.

The Visual Auditorium of the Benemérita Escuela Normal Veracruzana “Enrique C. Rébsamen” served as the perfect setting for this momentous event, which brought together academics, students and education professionals.

During the conference, Professor Joaquín Gairín shared his knowledge and experiences, emphasizing the importance of integrating practices supported by research evidence to improve teaching and learning continuously, the internationalization of universities and their educational programs and pointed out that adaptation of universities to an increasingly global society is essential, since these institutions are structures in and for society.

This event was not only a platform for the dissemination of knowledge but also a space where interaction between academics, researchers and education professionals flourished. The active participation of attendees was essential to enrich the experience and promote collaboration in the educational field.

The event was attended by vice-rectors, general directors and area heads, and was also broadcast virtually to academics from Cuba, Brazil and Costa Rica.
