Joaquín Gairín and Aleix Barrera, coordinators of the 6th RedAGE Report named “Coexistence at elementary education centres in Iberoamerica”.

Joaquín Gairín and Aleix Barrera have coordinated the last report of the International Association “Red de Apoyo a la Gestión Educativa – RedAGE” that gather together the perspective of 46 experts of fifteen iberoamerican countries related to the coexistence in the elementary education centres. These contributions are about the different ways of understanding and promoting coexistence at educational centres of different countries, presenting descriptions, experiences and appreciations related to this issue. The main purpose of the contributions is not only a characterization of the topic but also a description of the each reality and the proposals that will be made. The point of view is clearly organizational, if we consider the common part of the contributions is the policies of school coexistence, its implemented programs and organizational aspects in the institution, as well as significant experiences and challenges for improvement.

With this publication an essential purpose of Red AGE is fullfilled: promoting exchange of experiences, promoting knowledge about administration and educational management and thoughtfulness about management practice. The ultimate purpose is improving the operability of the educational centers (and through that, improving the educational system), trying to improve their quality and making them a tool for professional and social change.
