The text addresses the different aspects of teaching planning and is understood as a support or aid aimed at teachers in the process of strengthening the intended change. Its aim is to help those responsible for degrees and subjects in planning teaching in accordance with the philosophy and guidelines of the integration project in the European Higher Education Area. To do so, it starts from and presents real situations and examples obtained from different universities in the State and abroad, which can be expanded from the bibliography and reference documents included in the final sections of the text.
We understand, however, that the final decisions must be made by the teachers involved in the processes. We, as authors, can and want to only help in the collective task of improving the quality of training and, indirectly, contribute to social, cultural and economic change.
We are aware that some readers will think that we are making complicated proposals, which require time and effort, which distract them from their important research for which they feel motivated and confident to deal with complex situations, in which they do not feel confident and for which they have not received specific training.
At the same time, other colleagues, curriculum specialists, may consider that we simplify things too much and accuse us of killing Morin and proposing recipes. We are trying, in any case, to avoid the Sclia of obscure theory and the Charidbdis of unscientific vulgarization.
However, we will feel very satisfied if this guide serves to facilitate the work that groups of teachers decide to undertake to develop and put into practice the new Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degrees, reinforcing their orientation towards the student and their connection with professional reality. We thank them in advance for the suggestions and constructive criticism that they wish to send to the authors once the book has been reviewed.
