This contribution contains the views of 46 specialists from fifteen Latin American countries on the ways of understanding and promoting school coexistence in educational centres in different countries. Their contributions are a set of descriptions, experiences and significant assessments in relation to the context considered. The contributions do not seek to x-ray the subject at a theoretical level as much as to present the most significant aspects of each reality and the proposals made in this regard. The orientation is clearly organisational, if we consider that a common part of all the contributions has to do with school coexistence policies, applied programmes, organisational aspects at the institutional level, significant experiences and challenges for improvement. This covers, once again, a fundamental purpose of the AGE Network, which is to promote the exchange of experiences, the promotion of knowledge on educational administration and management and reflection on the practice of management. The ultimate goal is to improve the functioning of educational centres (and, through them, of educational systems), ensuring that they are of quality and an instrument for professional and social change.
