Training is a resource that is used on many occasions, but it is not always done at the right time and in the most appropriate way. Often, more is asked of it than it is and what it can contribute. This text compiles and frames significant contributions on the current state of reflection and practices linked to the development of training for institutional change. Promoted by the Organizational Development Team (EDO) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, it gathers the knowledge acquired by notable specialists and training companies. Its organization through three analytical perspectives (training planning, functioning of institutions and singular proposals), allows to address topics such as the diagnosis of needs, training plans, training by competences, the practice of new training methodologies (mentoring, teaching portfolio, reflective training) or impact evaluation; also, other topics such as blended learning, proposals for cultural change, actions linked to innovation, cooperative development, knowledge management or the development of institutional networks.
