L’atenció a la diversitat a Catalunya. Debat en el sistema educatiu

Diversity, as a principle and as a value, is an essential concept to interpret today’s society and to move towards justice and equity. The world of education, in tune with global socio-economic and ideological changes, tries to incorporate strategies in its operation and structure – attention to diversity – that translate into concrete actions. However, the resistance to this discursive and practical update is numerous and strong. This work provides arguments and data to better understand the concepts of diversity and attention to diversity in the educational system. After a tour of the genesis and evolution of discourses around diversity, the author provides information on the tensions and trends that the educational community of Catalonia itself has generated on the issue.
