Today’s society has promoted the consideration of knowledge and the training of workers as strategic elements of organizations, considering individual and collective intellectual capital as one of the main resources available to carry out their tasks. In this context, organizations are looking for new strategies that allow their employees to share experiences, impressions and knowledge, aware that what makes an organization competitive is its capacity to develop the human capital it has. The isolated professional who interacts with himself or with materials no longer makes sense; what is really important is the configuration of human groups that are in constant interaction through networks or communities. It is not surprising, therefore, that there is a persistent search for ways to promote collaborative processes and the development of environments that facilitate them. The text presents, in three different parts, the latest advances related to collaborative processes in networks. The first, with four chapters, analyzes the conceptual aspects of collaboration and the formats it adopts and the particularities presented by collaborative work in networks. The second section, in the following five chapters and in a monographic manner, addresses an analysis of the actors (moderator, manager and participants) and processes (satisfaction, motivation, communication, virtual discourse, etc.) that make collaborative work in a network possible; dedicating the last, with two chapters, to present a compilation of experiences and resources related to the subject.
