Under the motto “Digital Teaching Competence and the professional development of teachers: training, evaluation and certification” this 7th edition of the FIET will feature the participation of teachers from different countries.
The day will begin with a scientific forum restricted to the research groups that make up the FIET. The round table, moderated by dr. Juan González from the University of Girona and Dr. Cristina Mercader, from the UAB CRiEDO, will have the participation of Dr. Mar Camacho (General Director of Innovation, Research and Digital Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia), Mr. Carlos Javier Medina Bravo (Director of the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training -INTEF), Dr. Carmen Fernández Morante (President of the National Conference of Deans of the Faculties of Education) and Dr. Jaume Ametller Leal (Coordinator of the Program for Improvement and Innovation in Initial Teacher Training -MIF- of the Generalitat of Catalonia). The speakers will discuss the challenges posed by the development of digital teaching competence in teaching curricula and in the continued training of teachers.
In the afternoon open session, two interventions will be made. The first will be the panel of experts titled “Strategies for incorporating CDD into the professional profile of teachers”, moderated by Dr. Jaume Ametller and with the participation of Ms. Marta Reina Herrera (Head of the Open Training and Educational Digital Competence Service of the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training -INTEF), Dr. Roser Cussó Calabuig (Head of the Digital Culture area of the Generalitat de Catalunya) and Mr. Jordi Rondon Cuixart (Secretary of the School Council of Catalonia). The second part of the afternoon will consist of a dialogue moderated by Dr. Miquel Àngel Prats, from the URL-Blanquerna, entitled “The development of the digital competence of teachers: an urgent issue”, with the interventions of Dr. Juanmi Muñoz (Co-director of the Technological and Educational Innovation Observatory) and Dra. Carmen Fernández Morante.
The FIET is organized collaboratively with the financial support of an agreement between the universities: Universitat Ramon Llull Blanquerna, University of Barcelona, University of Andorra, University of Girona, University of Lleida, University of Vic, Open University of Catalonia, Rovira i Virgili University and Autonomous University of Barcelona.
