UAB among the top 200 universities worldwide

According to the QS rankings of 2011/2012, UAB remains among the top 200 universities in the world and the top 100 in Europe, while has a raise in position in the fields of Life Science and Technology

In spite of the general decline of the Spanish universities, UAB remains among the top 200 universities in the world and among the top 100 in Europe. The UAB is the 194th  worldwide and 85th  in Europe, and is one of the only two Spanish universities among the top 200 besides UB.

Referring to different academic fields, the university remains in the top 100 worldwide in the fields of Social Sciences (97th) and Natural Sciences (99th), and ranks the 124th  in the fields of Arts and Humanities. UAB has risen in the fields of Life Sciences (177th) and Technology (203rd).

As for the global classification, the top 20 positions are maintained with little variation. The first is for the University of Cambridge, who held this position for the first time last year. Notably, among the top 20 universities there are 13 U.S. ones and 5 British ones.
