Isabel del Arco, member of EDO of Universitat de Lleida, was awarded the 2011 Jaume Vicens Vives Prize

The Government of the Generalitat approved on August 30 the winners of the Jaume Vicens Vives Prize for the quality of teaching to university professors from different universities in Catalonia, which include Dr. Isabel del Arco Bravo, coordinator of the EDO of University of Lleida

Jaume Vicens Vives Prize has been awarded by the Generalitat of Catalonia since 1996, and recognize the quality and excellence in university teaching quality. The Executive Council of the Catalan government gave the green light to the Decree which get to know people and institutions that have been recognized with this prize. It is going to be presented on 7 October, coinciding with the start of the academic year 2011 -2012.

Este año el Gobierno otorgará cuatro premios individuales y tres de colectivos. A título individual recibirán la distinción Jaume Vicens Vives los profesores siguientes: Miquel Tressereas Majó (URL), Jordi Pérez Sánchez (UPF), Ferran Marqués Acosta (UPC) i Isabel del Arco (UdL and miembro del EDO).

This year the Government awarded this prize to four individual and three groups. The individuals receiving the Jaume Vicens Vives Prize are the following professors: Miquel Tressereas Majó (URL), Jordi Sánchez Pérez (UPF), Ferran Marqués Acosta (UPC) and Isabel del Arco (member of the EDO of UdL ).

Jaume Vicens Vives Prize, which honours teaching staff and university departments was founded in 1996 and aims to reward excellence in university teaching. The nominations are sent by social councils of the Catalan public universities or equivalent bodies in private universities.
