The UAB among the 200 best universities

In the 2023 edition of the Times Higher Education international ranking of universities (THE-WUR 2023), the UAB ranks 183rd in the world and maintains the second position in Spain.

Compared to the 2022 edition, in the field of teaching, the University has improved in the percentage of doctorate graduates per degree graduates, in income per academic and in the ratio of students per academic. Regarding research, it maintains significant strength in the indicator of citations per article (the one with the greatest weight in the ranking as a whole), and there is also an improvement in articles published by PDI, in private income allocated to research and in the percentage of international IDPs.

However, the UAB has suffered a slight drop in the score of other teaching, research and internationalization indicators, going from an overall score of 55.9 to 55.6 in the current edition. Bearing in mind the increase in the number of universities classified, this has led to a drop of 13 positions in the global ranking, which has placed it in position 183, close to the position it occupied in 2021.

Regarding the State, the UAB holds the second position, behind the University of Barcelona, ​​​​in position 182 and followed by the Pompeu Fabra University, which occupies position 186 in the ranking.
