Diversity in Culture and Artistic Schools

Last Friday, October 28, Cony Fernanda Villarroel defended her Doctoral Thesis entitled: Attention to diversity in the Schools of Culture and Artistic Dissemination of Chile. The act of defense of the Doctoral Thesis, which has been directed by Dr. José Luís Muñoz Moreno, was held in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Educational Sciences (Autonomous University of Barcelona), and the corresponding court was configured by the following members: Dr. Joaquín Gairín (Autonomous University of Barcelona), Dr. José Peirats (University of Valencia) and Dr. Aida Urrea (University of Lleida).

The Doctoral Thesis has inquired about the treatment of diversity that is developed in the Schools of Culture and Artistic Dissemination, focusing on the promotion of educational inclusion. Among the main results obtained, the design and validation of a Diversity Attention Plan for the improvement of this type of educational organization stands out. Likewise, it concludes by confirming the will of the educational communities to promote educational projects aimed at inclusion, making it possible to resignify the forms of participation, learning and recognition of diversity for a timely school and educational development.
