Results of the Third Meeting of RedAGE

The third meeting of RedAGE was held in Lima (Peru) in June, which was attended by representatives from over 30 institutions participating in the network to work and discuss issues related to educational management in Latin-American world. At the same time, they agreed on the basis that the survival of the network should be allowed after the year 2012 when it will no longer get financial support from AECID

In the agreements which they have reached, the constitution of an association based in the Department of Pedagogy of the Autonomous University of Barcelonae was emphasized , which will be led by the Team of Organisational Development (EDO). Among the main purposes highlighted by the network, the following ones are emphasized:

- To coordinate between the Team of Organizational Development (EDO) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the areas of educational management of universities in Latin America.

- To establish working criteria on how to start joint business areas, which can be incorporated into other areas of educational management in Latin American universities .

-Promote academic exchange between the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and related Latin American universities.

-To identify and implement areas of research which are relevant to the Latin American context .

- To define instances of presential or virtual training (conferences, training courses, literary, etc.) targeting system managers and educational centres.

- To plan and implement and virtual or presential instances of academic exchange targeting to impulse educational management in Latin America.

Meanwhile, they have reached agreement at what the rights and duties of members of the association are, and the necessary requirements which are going to form one part of it, disciplinary system, etc. .. All aspects which will soon be available on the official website of the RedAGE for consultation of all the institutions and individuals interested participation.
