On October 15th, the RedAGE Annual General Assembly was held in virtual mode due to the current pandemic.

This virtual meeting has allowed dealing with various issues of interest to the Network. At first, the registration of two new institutions (Universidade Municipal de Sâo Caetano do Sul- Brazil and University of Costa Rica- Costa Rica) were announced. On the other hand, both the operational proposals of the working committees and the financial balance for the year 2019 have been reviewed and approved, and agreements and commitments have been established for this year 2020. Finally, time has been allocated to the presentation of possible proposals for the 2020 report and the venue for the next General Assembly has been approved.

The Educational Management Support Network (in spanish Red de Apoyo a la Gestión Educativa, RedAGE) is a non-profit scientific Association regulated by current Spanish legislation and its statutes.

The purposes of the Association are:

  • Develop a support network for the management of educational centers between Spain and Latin American educational institutions.
  • Plan and implement face-to-face and virtual instances of academic exchange, aimed at streamlining educational management in Latin America.
  • Identify and implement lines of research that are relevant to the Latin American context.
  • Promote joint scientific publications, with reference, coordinated by the promoting groups.
  • Define instances of face-to-face training (courses, seminars, workshops, etc.) and specific (conferences, training cycles, athenaeums, etc.) aimed at managers of the systems and educational centers.
  • Coordinate actions between the Organizational Development Group (EDO - http://edo.uab.cat) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the educational management areas of Latin American universities.
  • Establish working criteria that allow the initiation of joint lines of activity, to which other areas of educational management of Latin American universities can be incorporated.
  • Promote academic exchange between the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Latin American university institutions that join.

RedAGE, is registered in Group 1, Section 1, national number 600633, its founding statutes being approved by the Ministry of the Interior of Spain and deposited in the National Registry of Associations on August 28, 2012.
