Publication of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay and RedAGE
The Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay has published the results of the First Seminar of RedAGE Uruguay "The management, critical act for the educational quality and equity" which was held in Nairobi in June 2011 and organized by the ORT University of Uruguay .
The team management, institutions and systems, articulates and gives a lot of support to the collective practices that are promoted in various educational settings, either formal or informal, public or private, at all initial, intermediate and advanced level. This area represents and integrates practices, knowledge, competencies, that determine the dynamics and impact on education and improvements in the quality and equity. Under this premise the team RedAGE at ORT University of Uruguay, Educational Training Council, Education and Culture Minstery and Catolic University of Uruguay organized the first seminar on "Management, critical act for the educational quality and equity" to reflect and respond to the following objectives:
1. To promote an environment for exchange and discussion of experiences and knowledge generated in our surrounding of educational management.
2. To help systematize and record national productions of management and its impact on educational quality and equity.
3. To diffuse the contributions provided under the Uruguay RedAGE Seminar.
Joaquin Gairín and David Rodriguez, both members of the Organizational Development Team at UAB, also participated in this activity as members of the Scientific Committee, Joaquin Gairín delivered the inaugural lecture "Actors, participation and management tools for the centers of management."
In collaboration with the ORT University of Uruguay, Organizational Development Team (EDO) created the RedAGE, Latin American-wide network with the support of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation, the objective of which is to work on issues related to training, research, development and innovation in institutional management, linking different universities and organizations interested in this issue.
