David Rodríguez Gómez from Autonomous University of Barcelona, in the framework of Doctoral Studies in Education (R.D 1393/2007).

The research analyses working processes of ATE (Technical Education Assistances) in Chilean context. Specifically, it tackles the effect that ATE has as an external support system for school to foster change processes. The main goal is: analyzing the process of consultancy that ATE develop in school and factors that determine its impact there. The results show that, in general, teachers express a low appreciation concerning the impact of ATE in schools, as well as its working processes. Related to sustainability of changes, it was conclude that ATE doesn’t develop actions addressed to institutionalization, hence, the improvements don’t stay over time.

The defense act will take place next 18th of December at 12 o'clock, in the Boardroom of the Faculty of Science Education (Building G-5) and it’s open to anyone who wants to attend.
