Perception about ethnical prejudices to Aymara students

Dissertation thesis by David Rossi Henriquez Villaroel, about students in Tarapacá (Chile).
David Henriquez has defended the doctoral thesis with the title of "Perception of ethnic prejudice towards the Aymara students of the University of Tarapacá, Arica-Chile". The dissertation thesis has been directed by Dr. Joaquín Gairín and Dr. Diego Castro, of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, framed within the Doctorate in Education studies, both members of the EDO.
For his part, David Henriquez, aimed to identify the levels of "manifest" and "subtle" prejudice to Aymara and non-Aymara students at the University of Tarapacá, Arica-Chile. To fully understand the phenomenon in an empirical way, it formed a sample of almost 600 students.
The results of the sample, according to Henriquez, show a higher level of manifest prejudice and a lower level of subtle prejudice, both with respect to the Aymara sample and the non-Aymara sample. In other words, these psychological affects negatively the implicit reproduction of conflicts by means of exclusionary channels towards the Aymara ethnic group.
The defence of the dissertation took place in the Sala de Graus of the Faculty of Education on November 13th, the same day as William Eduardo Pulido, who defended his thesis about inclusion in Colombian higher education.
* In this sense, it is convenient to refer to the Aymara people, a nation that has born in the pre-Columbian era and stretches between Bolivia, Peru and Chile.
