The European Commission funds the Orienta4VET project, focused on promoting opportunities in vocational training.

The Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) has published the favorable resolution for the execution of the project "Orienta4VET: an attractive and viable pathway. ", which will be financed from the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission, with an endowment total of €309,976.

The main objective of the project is to improve access to Vocational Training (VT), as well as to help improve the permanence of students with greater difficulties. Its lines of work are linked to three of the specific priorities of the Erasmus+ program for vocational training. Specifically:

  1. Increase the visibility and attractiveness of VET.
  2. Increase the flexibility of VET opportunities.
  3. Contribute to innovation in VET.

These strategic priorities translate into 3 operational objectives in the Orienta4VET Project:

  1. Make VET visible in each of the contexts, identifying and analyzing its main problems and its impact. Identify the main barriers to VET in the territories and analyze their impact, taking as reference indicators the personal, educational/training, business and/or productive development of the territory, socio-labour or socio-professional.
  2. Explore the potential and viability of alternative pathways that facilitate the diversification and flexibility of access to VET opportunities (or educational/training re-entry through professional pathways). Implement appropriate guidance and tutorial action strategies in VET itineraries and analyze their impact.
  3. Implement appropriate guidance and tutorial action strategies in VET itineraries and analyze their impact. It is important to work on orientation strategies and tutorial action for their implementation and evaluation in VET.

Orienta4VET will be coordinated by Professor Patricia Olmos (CRiEDO-UAB), and will include the participation of researchers and faculty from: Instituto Politecnico de Leiria  (Portugal), Universitaet Bremen (Germany), Universitatea din Bucuresti (Romania) and Aarhus Universitet (Denmark).
