Open Access to a Publication

In the nineties, a progressive autonomy of the educational centers provoked the need of them obtaining organizational and pedagogical competencies. The existence of School Councils, the elaboration of educational and curricular projects, a certain economical autonomy and other actions, are the expression of the changes that the autonomy granted set in the field of institutional approaches as well as in the organizational structure and the relational system.

In order to give solutions to an existing need in educational centers, in 1996 the Ministry of Education spur to some EDO-UAB members to elaborate a work to help those educational centers in this topic and answer three basic objectives:
- Placing the Head of Studies in organizational framework and in managing centers.
- Identifying those traits that enable to talk about academic managing and delimiting its action areas.
- Providing strategies related to their regular activities.

Despite the time when the book was released, requests from future management team to Access to this work have been remarkable these past years. That is the reason why EDO have been conducting arrangements in order to make this work as open access in Dipòsit Digital de Documents de la UAB, being everyone able to access to it.
