New newsletter from BIObec project

The BIObec project team has published and disseminated its new newsletter, the eighth in the course of the project.

In this publication, they have shared with the educational community the news of the last quarter in the framework of the project. Among them, it is worth mentioning the celebration of the BIObec General Assembly, on June 27 and 28, where the 19 members of the project met to discuss their progress and agree on the next actions to promote bioeconomy training in Europe. Also noteworthy was the “Cross-Fertilization Seminar: the BIObec Project”, which took place at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Vienna, Austria) on September 6, in a hybrid format. Finally, Aleix Barrera-Corominas and Joaquín Gairín, members of CRiEDO and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, participated in the Ibero-American Congress of Pedagogy (Mexico), where they presented results of the BIObec project.

BIObec aims to create links between bioindustry and the education system by interconnecting universities, innovation laboratories and R&D centers with industrial agents and regions. To this end, the project proposes a holistic framework that combines the traditional idea of an educational center with that of a knowledge center.
