New issue of the FUESE project newsletter: Discover the latest updates!

The FUESE project has just published the fourth edition of its Newsletter, featuring the main news and progress achieved between July and November 2025.

The project “FUESE – Strengthening University Extension in the Social Ecosystem of Universities in Central America” is an international initiative that brings together 12 Central American institutions and two European partners with a common goal: to strengthen the social impact of universities within their socio-economic environment.

CRiEDO participates as main partner and coordinates WP 2 (Collaboration and Internationalization). The team includes Aleix Barrera, Diego Castro (Coord. UAB), Joaquín Gairín, and Cecilia Inés Suárez, consolidating CRiEDO’s leadership in the region and reinforcing its collaboration with UDELAS, the coordinating institution of the project.

With a duration of three years (until December 2026) and a budget of €794,340, FUESE is part of the Erasmus-EDU-2023 – Capacity Building in Higher Education program. The project aims to develop new capacities in Central American higher education institutions, transforming institutional policies and practices to increase their social impact.

FUESE is based on the concept of Equity Culture, implemented through University Extension policies and practices. Its mission is to enhance socio-economic capacities in areas such as cultural promotion, community development, employability, and entrepreneurship, especially for vulnerable groups. This is achieved through knowledge transfer and innovation, in collaboration with the private sector.
