Multilingual Scientific Writing

Joaquin Gairín and Anna Diaz, EDO members, collaborating on a project on multilingual scientific writing (teaching scientific essay college students) led by Dr. Rosario Arroyo González Department of Didactics and School Organisation of the University of Granada.

The project aims to develop an online course Scientific Writing Multilingual in Spanish, English, German, Italian and Catalan, with the goal of college students acquire basic scientific argumentation strategies and learn to express themselves in writing in different languages.

In this first phase, the collaboration with the University of Granada is focused on the development and review of course materials in Catalan and analyzing the implications of its application in Catalan universities.

The project is funded by the Department of Planning, Quality and Evaluation at the University of Granada and the same 4 UGR professors, 11 students and 6 external partners involved.
