Monitoring the Orienta4YEL strategies for tackling early leaving from the Institut Joan Oró (Martorell).

On 21th April two members of CRiEDO, Patricia Olmos and José Luis Muñoz, have implemented various focus groups in the Institut Joan Oró (Martorell) to follow up the strategies that within the framework of the Orienta4YEL Project this educational centre is working on tackling early leaving. In this regard, there have been implemented meetings with young people, teachers / educators, and educational agents, who are involved in the project and in the implementation of the strategies.

These follow up meetings highlight the importance of the academical and personal guidance actions that are being implemented and show their positive impact on young people’s motivation and on their guidance linked to educational success. Likewise, it is worth highlighting the need of continuing work on these. During the next weeks, the Joan Oró Institute (Martorell) will continue with the development of the actions planned within the framework of the Orienta4YEL Project and, during the month of June, the final evaluation of these will be completed.
