MIAT

Already available the guide “Integrated Handbook of Tutorial Action” for night shift educational centres in Costa Rica.
The Integrated Handbook of Tutorial Action (IHTA) which is introduced through this text is the document that gathers intervention proposals organized and addressed to improve the current attention to students of night shift centres in Costa Rica. Its development is contextualized in IDEAS Project and it serves for teacher training as well as to guide actions in educational centres around the country.
Its specification takes into account the reality of their country and of their recipients (teachers and students from night shift educational centres). The development of each unit has a similar structure: presenting for every each of them an Introduction, which situates the Unit in the framework of a specific training program and which presents the topics that are tackled; a content Diagram, which under the modality of content diagram of conceptual map helps to identify and link the topics that will be tackled; the Topics tackled and developed; and Activities, distinguishing among the application ones – referred to proposals related to comprehension and contextualization of the content developed-, and the developed ones, related to deepen on the topic. The information is filled with Bibliographic References and Glossary presented at the end of the text.
Moreover, during the presentation of different topics, four complementary supports are used. These are partial synthesis, author quotations, notes to-know-more and activities, that intend to attract attention of participants in training and help them in their academic process. The text has been conceived not only to help the development of the project, but also as a work document for other educational centres which are not participating in IDEAS project, for teacher training in night shift schools and for developing night shift institutions..
