On November 28, all the leaders of the different lines met to prepare the FIET 2024.
The International Forum on Education and Technology (in catalan, Fòrum Internacional d’Educació i Tecnologia, FIET) of 2024 on the digital transformation of education in the era of artificial intelligence will take place from March 12 to 15 at the Rovira i Virgili University. In this edition, Professor Joaquín Gairín (leader of the Educational Policies line) and Professor Cristina Mercader (co-leader of the Networks and Participation line) will participate. This edition aims to analyze the impact of digital technologies on education in the era of artificial intelligence, based on the evidence collected from the reality of different scenarios and educational levels with a local, national and international perspective.
The FIET, held for the first time in 2014, was born to be a meeting space where figures of international relevance related to the world of education and technology reflected on their transformative role in a digital context. Its objectives are to contribute to the improvement of education through analysis, debate, the development of proposals and dissemination from a transformative perspective, and to establish an Education-Technology dialogue around the potential and risks of artificial intelligence applied to education.
