Master’s Degree Pre-enrollment

Next January 16th, UAB opens a term for pre-enrollment of Master’s Degrees for next term 2015-2016. In the field of educational organization, EDO group offers two Master’s Degrees: “Administration and Management of Education Centers” and, within the framework of Research in Education Master’s Degree, the specialty of “Developing and Managing organizations to change”.

“Administration and Management of Education Centers” Master’s Degree is focused on training professionals for developing their assignment as a director in an educational center. The ongoing remodeling in educational systems has increased the complexity of pedagogical and organizational management in an education institution. Thus, the head principals have extent their tasks: not only have they to develop administrative and management resources, but other assignments such as representative tasks, planning, coordination, control-evaluation, human relationships, community integration, pedagogical tasks and promotion of innovation. However, it is also considered the problems they have to face when they become a manager in an educational institution.

Research in Education Master’s Degree has a specialty called “Developing and Managing Organizations to change”. This one is designed for those students who want to be initiated in research inside an organization. This option takes a close look to knowledge, practices, strategies and research results related to organization and management of training institutions. The institutional context can be a facilitator or a limitation for educational change. Also, it can be a promoter of innovations and improvements, the place where they become possible and the scene where the professional development is brought to life. Despite all of this, it’s still being an unknown field and fairly studied from the complexity and change, which are the aspects where this specialty wants to keep developing.
