Master in Education. Specialty in Teaching of Science

Joaquin Gairín, coordinator of EDO, is the academic director of this training program which will be developed over 2 academic years in the Republic of Panama. Aimed at science teachers in Panama, the course deal with linked content within the institutional context and educational improvement, research of specific teaching, educational innovation and documentary sources for the teaching of science. At the end of the activity, the 40 students enrolled will also submit a final work of professional application, from what they have learned throughout the sessions.

This training activity, which is funded from the agreement consigned between the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the SENACYT of Panama which provides a financial investment of of $ 194,133 from its part, also involves an internship for 10 teachers on the premises of UAB, in addition to various training sessions, will conduct interviews with various experts and the opportunity to visit of schools with outstanding quality in teaching in Catalonia.

This agreement is important for SENACYT because with it, it may contribute to the improvement program for teaching science and mathematics, supporting the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Panama (MEDUCA) to renew the teaching and learning according to curriculum changes which is currently being developed.
