On Friday, July 5, 2024, the selection committee of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) issued an official resolution proposing the appointment of Marisol Galdames Calderón as Assistant Professor/Lecturer, linked to the Didactics and Educational Organization unit (2024/D/LEM/CL/3), joining as a member of CRIEDO: Centre de Recerca i Estudis pel Desenvolupament Organitzatiu.
Dr. Marisol Galdames Calderón joined the Department of Applied Pedagogy at UAB in January 2023 as a postdoctoral researcher under the Juan de la Cierva Training fellowship, awarded by the Spanish Government in 2021.
Marisol Galdames Calderón holds a Ph.D. in Education and Society from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Direction and Management of Educational Centers also from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Planning and Evaluation of Competencies and Learning Outcomes from the Central University of Chile, a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Barcelona, a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education from the University of Chile, and a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Chile.
Her academic and professional career is marked by a solid track record in teacher training and higher education, focusing on pedagogical innovation, management, and distributed leadership in educational institutions. Her outstanding work in these fields reinforces UAB’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement in education.
This appointment represents a significant step in consolidating educational quality and research at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and reinforces its commitment to having high-level professionals on its teaching staff.
