Last 2nd and 3th of November took place in UAB a kick-off meeting of ACCESS4ALL project. 

ACCESS4ALL project “Laboratory of Policies and Practices for Social Development in Higher Education” started officially last 1st of September 2015, the kick-off meeting took place on 2nd and 3th of November. During the meeting, general action lines has been debated in order to operationalise them the next upcoming years, with special focus on specifying the specific groups that will be studied in the project in every context, defying a tool for identifying good practices, and concretize the initial structure that the laboratory should have for giving them enough body in order to make it last once the project is finished.

The project, coordinated by EDO-UAB, and funded by the European Comission through the programme Erasmus Plus (Ref. 2015‐1‐ES01‐KA203‐015970), has the full participation of different partners, which are Univerity of Bristol (UK), Università degli Studi di Bergamo (Italy), Universitatea din Bucareşti (Romania), Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (Portugal) and Jyväskylän Yliopisto (Finland).

The main aim of the project is to address 4 specific objectives: (1) to establish a map with the institutional policies for attending to vulnerable groups in relation to academic access and success; (2to establish guidelines to be implemented by higher education organisations to promote initiatives aimed to encourage the access and successful development of students who are under-represented in universities; (3) to co-create strategies and measures promoting the access, permanence (and success) of vulnerable students and non-traditional learners at university; (4) to create a laboratory for the creation of innovative and flexible strategies in order to promote social commitment of Higher Education institutions in relation with the most vulnerable student groups.
