Interview to Joaquín Gairín

Joaquín Gairín examines through the interview carried out by José Lozano, president of AEFOL, the situation of e-learning in Spain, with a special focus on the analysis of the role currently performed by technologies for learning and communication in training at all levels.

In that regard, Gairín emphasizes that globalization processes and the fact evolution of the ICT have enhanced the development e-leaning, and it will be even more enhanced in the future. The challenges continue to be quality improvement on the proceedings, to drive accreditation processes that allow to differentiate this proposal from others that only use an IT and visual support for training or to integrate this approach with complementary ones such as: b-learning, social network or groups of creation and management of collective knowledge.

On that subject, it is presented the Master’s degree in Teaching with LKT, promoted by EDO-UAB as a very useful product to foster that all those professionals linked to company or school training at all levels will acquire those necessary competences in order to integrate technologies in their students learning. Accordingly, along this interview it is highlighted the important role of collaboration between the University and the productive sector for emerge of training offers as the Master’s degree in Teaching with LKT, born with a clear determination of filling a formative gap currently existing in the Spanish context.
