Intercultural Education

The teacher Edgar Iglesias has published his monographic “Intercultural Education in leisure time: Educational action in neoliberal times” that presents the results of his doctoral thesis which was defended last year.

The book deepen in the development of interculturalism in education contexts of leisure time from a double dimension: complexity, since takes into account the relationships between different categories of diversity, and ideology, since considers neoliberal context as an obstacle for recognizing diversity and development of educational inclusion.

Through the document, the author combines theoretical and practical aspects, which can be obtained with inclusion, described from the point of view of educators, youngsters and families from leisure time educational contexts that participated actively in the study field carried out in the doctoral thesis referred previously. It’s because of this that the content of this book can be very useful for educators and professionals related to juvenile leisure time, as well as for any reader interested in current educational topics such as interculturalism.
