Institutional Visits

During this week we have received a visit by Daniel Villarroel, EDO collaborator from Chile. In addition, Carlos Duque from the University of Antioquia (Colombia) also visited our university.
During this week, we have received the visit of collaborating researchers of the group EDO that develop their activity in other institutions and countries. Carlos Duque, professor of the University of Antioquia (Colombia), presented the development of the "Institutional Observatory and Big Data" of his University. The objective of it is to collect and monitor relevant information of institutional management in order to facilitate decision making for those responsible. In this regard, in the observatory it is analysed how to link the results obtained in the ACCEDES project to help the monitoring of vulnerable students in this institution. Dr. Duque will participate as an institutional representative of the UdeA in the development of the ORACLE project, currently in a negotiation phase with the European Union.
On the other hand, on 9th December, Daniel Villarroel, a regular collaborator of EDO and a PhD from the UAB in Quality and Processes of Educational Innovation, visited our university. The purpose of this visit was to present the work plan for the dissemination of an investigation focused on analysing the profiles of competencies of management professionals from schools with vulnerable background. In this regard, Dr Montané delivered a letter of the communication presented within the framework of the Congress Educación y Aprendizaje held in Madrid on 24th and 25th November in 2016. Equally, the possibilities of future collaborations for the development of shared training instances between Chilean professionals and the UAB were analysed.
Since its creation, EDO-UAB has been open to the participation of synergies with other institutions and to the search for collaborations that allow progress in the group's current lines of research and work. In this sense, all those interested in making visits at the EDO-UAB group, or visit us to present proposals, you can write us to edo@uab.cat
