Impact of ICT in class

Contract signed between EDO-UAB and Mapfre’s Foundation for developing a study titles “Impact of ICT in class from the teachers’ perspective”.
Mapfre’s Foundation has signed a collaboration contract with EDO-UAB for developing a study about “Impact of ICT in class from the teachers’ perspective”, whose objective is to assess the impact of Information and Communication Technologies in class in Spanish Secondary Educational centres. The study materializes in the following objectives:
(1) Analysing the impact of ICT in teachers in compulsory education;
(2) Analysing the impact of ICT in students in compulsory education;
(3) Analysing the impact of ICT in different contexts that surround compulsory education.
The activity, that reinforces the previous collaborations between both institutions, will be coordinated by Dr. Castro y Gairín, and will last for a whole year. Besides, it will have a budget of 44.937 € and will count with the participation of 8 Spanish universities during its study field.
This activity is contextualized in knowledge transfer activities carried on by EDO-UAB through EDO-Serveis laboratory of service delivery, research structure that has as a main purpose collaboration of group members with external entities. Among the activities developed, there are designs of training proposals for institutions and enterprises, development of studies ad hoc, consulting activities and organization of scientific dissemination activities.
