Dr. Georgeta Ion, member of CRiEDO, participated in the BERA Conference 2024 and WERA Focal Meeting.

The BERA Conference 2024 (British Educational Research Association) and the WERA Focal Meeting took place from September 8 to 12, 2024, bringing together researchers and education professionals to share advancements and discuss international educational research. The event focused on the interplay between the benefits, costs, and the importance of research integration in teaching practice, a crucial theme for the evolution of the educational system.

Dr. Georgeta Ion, a professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and linked to the REDU-CAT project, was one of the featured speakers. Alongside Marta Kowalczuk-Walędziak from the University of Białystok (Poland) and Chris Brown from the University of Southampton (UK), they delivered a presentation titled “Interweaving the Nexus of Benefits, Costs, and the Significance of Research Integration in Teachers’ Practice.” Their presentation was based on data collected from Catalonia, Poland, and England.

This event was a key opportunity for educators worldwide to reflect on how to apply research findings to their daily practice and improve the quality of teaching. For more information about the EIPSI project, visit its official website.
