Gemma París Tenured Lecturer

On December 2, 2020, Dr. Gemma París Romia defended and obtained in public competition the position of Permanent Associate Professor to the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic and Corporal Expression of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The tribunal was formed by Dr. Àlex Nogué (Professor at the UB) as president, Dr. Jordi Pàmies (Associate Professor at the UAB) as Secretary and Dr. Marián Lopez-Fernández Cao (Professor at the UCM) as president. The place won by Dr. Gemma Paris is assigned to the area of ​​knowledge of Didactics of Plastic Expression (teaching profile: Art Education; and research profile: artistic research and educational search through the arts).

Gemma Paris is an artist and a PhD in Fine Arts from the UB, specializing in Painting. She is a professor at the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic and Body Expression of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UAB. Her lines of research focus on educational education through the arts, innovative educational projects, collaborative research between the artistic and educational community, and artistic search as an area of knowledge. She is currently leading the INTERSTICE project, funded by the Strategic Partnerships Erasmus + call, together with Dr. Silvia Blanch from the UAB. She has carried out long-term teaching and research stays at Bath Spa University (UK) and Venice International University (Italy).
