The Consortium of Catalan universities has held the International Forum of Education and Technology in Tarragona, following the structure by lines and axes of work that also served to organize the FIET 2014, the FIET 2021 and the conferences that are held annually.
The Technical Forum was held on March 12 and 13 with the presence of more than 100 experts from 20 countries and the public Forum had more than 450 participants from more than 100 institutions. As a novelty, it has incorporated into the public Forum, in addition to conferences, discussion tables and presentation of more than 30 communications, the organization of debates around challenges, the presentation of experiences of educational centers to two types of awards and the participation of students not university students.
Professor Joaquín Gairin was responsible for the “Educational Policies” line and chaired the Juries of the FIET Transforming Centers and FIET Jove awards. Professor Cristina Mercader Juan coordinated the line “Networks and citizen participation” and organized the work by challenges developed in each of the lines. The teacher and technician from the Department of Education Tona Castell and more than 10 participants from the training programs in Digital Teaching Competence that are being carried out at the UAB also participated.
