Edgar Iglesias ends his post-doctoral stay at Graduate School of Education of the Stanford University 

Edgar Iglesias, EDO member and ERDISC subgroup has developed a research stay for 3 months as a Visiting Scholar in the Stanford University (Graduate School of Education - California, EE.UU), being welcomed by PhD professor Dra. Guadalupe Valdés. He was granted by CASB - Fellowship Program (Consortium for Advanced Studies in Barcelona) to develop the first phase of the research "The Recognition of Cultural Diversity in Schools in California and Catalonia through Collaboration with Community Education Projects ". Specifically, he is studying from a community dimension, how knowledge is shared between educational groups in after-school institutions an educational centres.

During his stay, he has being in touch with 8 educational organizations that develop after-school programs in educational centres with high cultural diversity, interviewing members of their educational groups. Also, he has developed focus group with researchers from John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities (Stanford) and with researchers from Partnership for Children and Youth (Oackland). At the same time, he has being in contact with the team of After School Division from the Department of Education, California. It is foreseen that during the next months he will develop the second phase of his research in different educational organizations in Catalonia.
