A group of up to 43 students from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) arrive in Barcelona to participate in a specific training on the primary and secondary education model of Spain.

It is a three-day stay, between 22th and 24th January, which has been managed within the framework of the Study Abroad UAB program. In this way, the students will train in the Casa de la Convalescència (Barcelona) and will receive 18 hours of lectures that will allow them to know the approaches that are made in Spain in different subjects of the field of education; They will also have the opportunity to exchange experiences and the collective reflection of the issues raised.

The activity is coordinated by Dr. Joaquín Gairín and has the support of eight teachers, who will be giving different sessions on the operation of Primary and Secondary Education, as well as explaining the current challenges in fields such as the didactics of social sciences, artistic expression, language, literature or music.

The group will work with sessions that contemplate exhibitions, group work or workshops and plenary sessions, thus becoming a didactic and creative training that, at times, will be divided into two groups according to the educational stages on which participants have expressed an interest in Discovering (primary and secondary education, on the one hand, and the other secondary education).
