Paz Gonzalez defended his doctoral thesis entitled " TEACHERS educational conceptions and expectations before the training. Municipal schools of the Commune of Coyhaique , Chile . "

The thesis , which is linked to the "Support and strengthening management education and skills policy in the City of Coyhaique - Chile " l' funded by AECID in the period 2008-2011 , has been directed by Dr. Joaquin Gairín and Dr. Carme Armengol , both members of EDO.

The study relates to the general problem of training programs and , more specifically, specific aspects related to Coyhaique AECID project with the participation of teachers of mathematics and language / communication.

The methodology of the study is qualitative and focused on the case of Coyhaique AECID project , with the characteristic of being diachronic , ie analyzing a phenomenon that occurs over time , so multi -instrumental and participative , focusing on school teachers participating in the training courses developed by the project.

Scientific interest or relevance lies in the contributions that can provide research focused on a group that is essential for the development of educational work , teaching staff , while allowing the industry to understand and analyze the experience in the participation of a training program.

The responsibilities of teachers are not free of difficulties and uncertainties, and these should be reversed with measures that go into the development of learning support teachers, to strengthen its role and allow acquire new pedagogical practices.

In research on teacher education is to study the alternatives with which this sector can adopt innovations better.

With this, we understand that training is fundamental to the process of personal and professional development of teachers, and therefore , the main body that has the teacher to learn new skills that allow students to deliver effective learning.

So today, the connection between change , training and teacher thinking is needed to generate specific options directed to the success of educational innovations.

The results of this research are to continue to allow debate, discuss and reflect on the training planned and developed in isolated contexts of Chile, its impact on the reality and educational conceptions of teachers themselves.
