On Tuesday, October 21, the Exe Campus Hotel at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) hosted a new edition of the Innovation Fair, one of the central events of Innovation Week, held from October 20 to 24.
The Fair is established as a meeting space between the research world and the business environment, aiming to recognize the knowledge transfer from UAB research groups and to showcase the wide range of technologies, services, and innovative ideas generated on campus.
This event brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, companies, and investors, and seeks to bring emerging knowledge and technologies developed at the University closer to society. The day facilitates connections among different agents in the innovation system, promoting collaboration and the generation of synergies.
The main objectives of the Fair include:
- Highlighting UAB’s commitment to innovation from various perspectives and fields.
- Connecting the campus’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with the business network, investor community, and knowledge centers.
- Linking university research with the challenges of the B30 territory.
- Encouraging collaboration between researchers and entrepreneurs from different disciplines to enhance the competitiveness of business initiatives.
- Promoting an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, with special attention to female entrepreneurship.
CRiEDO’s participation in this edition has been especially relevant in showcasing its work in knowledge transfer and its contribution to innovation.
