Consolidation as an associate professor of Georgeta Ion

Last Friday, May 17th, Dr. Ion defended the Department of Applied Pedagogy for her teaching and research career, in order to obtain the status of permanent assistant professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Georgeta obtained excellent scores before the tribunal formed by President José Tejada Fernández (Autonomous University of Barcelona), the vocal Elena Cano García (University of Barcelona), and the secretary Lurdes Martínez Mínguez (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Following the usual methodology, the result was communicated to the competent bodies of the UAB in order to formalize the new contractual situation.

Georgeta Ion holds a degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Bucharest, a Master's Degree in Management and Educational Evaluation from the University of Bucharest and a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Barcelona with a thesis titled "University Organizational Culture and Leadership. An ethnographic study". Currently his research focuses on the evaluation of university students based on competencies, the organizational dynamics of the university. Also, in parallel, she collaborates with Spanish and European research groups on issues related to research-based education. Throughout his academic career she has participated in more than 30 research projects and transfer agreements, has participated as author and / or editor of 9 books, author or co-author of more than 35 book chapters and 40 journal articles. She has also been a visiting professor at Trinity College of Dublin (Ireland) and University of Helsinki (Finland) among others.
