Cristina Mercader consolidates her teaching and research career at UAB and within CRiEDO.
On July 9th, Dr. Cristina Mercader consolidated her teaching and research career in the Department of Applied Pedagogy, obtaining the status of permanent professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Dr. Cristina Mercader achieved a positive assessment before the assessment committee formed by Dr. Maria Pilar Figuera (Universitat de Barcelona) as president, Dr. Linda Castañeda (Universidad de Murcia) as member and Dr. Jose Tejada (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) as the secretary.
Cristina Mercader holds a PhD in Education from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2018). Previously, she completed a Master’s Degree in Research in Education (2014) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Planning and Management (2011), both from UAB, in addition to her initial training as a Teacher in Primary Education (UAB). Prior to her position as a full professor, she has always been linked to the EDO group and the Department of Applied Pedagogy of the UAB as a Lecturer in the Serra Hunter Programme, Postdoctoral Researcher and Researcher and Teacher in trainin with a contract funded by the Ministry (FPU2013). Her lines of work focus on educational technology, digital teaching competence and the digital transformation of higher education institutions.
Throughout her trajectory, Dra. Mercader has participated in more than 15 research projects and agreements and 11 teaching innovation projects in the area of didactics and school organization and, especially, in the discipline of educational technology. As a result, he has published 13 articles in journals indexed in JCR and SJR in the first quartiles, as well as various book chapters, teaching materials and communications at national and international conferences. Mercader has held various positions of representation and participation in commissions and governing bodies. Currently, she is the coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education at the UAB and the coordinator for the digital transformation of the Faculty of Education Sciences at the UAB.
