Consolidation as tenured professor of Aleix Barrera Corominas

Aleix Barrera Corominas consolidates his teaching and research career at UAB, within the framework of CRiEDO.

On September 4th, Dr. Aleix Barrera Corominas defended his teaching and research career to the Department of Applied Pedagogy, in order to obtain the status of permanent tenured professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Aleix Barrera Corominas obtained a positive evaluation before the tribunal, constituted by the president Dr. Margarita Pino (University of Vigo), the member Dr. Edelmira Badillo (Autonomous University of Barcelona) and the secretary Dr. Diego Castro (Autonomous University of Barcelona). Following the usual procedure, the result of the tribunal was communicated to the competent bodies of the UAB so that the new contractual situation can be formalized.

Aleix Barrera Corominas holds a PhD in Quality and Educational Innovation Processes from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Previously, he completed a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management (UOLS). He holds a degree in Pedagogy (UAB), a diploma in Labor Relations (UAB) and a degree in Labor Sciences (UOC). Prior to his tenured position, he was involved in project management at CRiEDO and worked as an associate professor in the Department of Applied Pedagogy at UAB. His lines of research focus on training evaluation (transfer and impact), learning accreditation and organizational development.

Throughout his career, Barrera-Corominas has participated in more than 30 research projects and 17 transfer agreements. As a result, he has participated as author and/or editor of 11 books, author or co-author of more than 75 book chapters and 21 articles in indexed journals and has presented contributions in more than 70 national and international conferences. He has also been a visiting professor at the University of Bristol (UK) and is a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
