The seminar "Focus on competencies in initial teachers´ training. Curriculum Design, Teaching and Evaluation"in which Dr. Joaquin Gairín presents a lecture entitled"Competency Evaluation"
takes place at the Catholic University of Valparaiso (Chile) On November 21, 22 and 23.
The seminar aims to reflect and share experiences around the design and implementation of focus on competencies in initial teachers´ training. To address on this issue, the seminar has had experts and renowned speakers at national and international level. At the seminar, attendants also dealt with issues related to:
- Training based on competencies from Policies of the Quality of Higher Education
- Curricular focus based on competency of initial teachers´ training.
- Competency-based training from developed countries´ experiences in teachers´education.
- new provision in the competency-based training in the field of Teaching and Teachers´ Training Evaluation.
- Experiences of the design and implementation of monitoring systems and continuous evaluation in the training process.
The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Chile, EPE MECESUP and PUCV.
