CRiEDO hosted the 16th DIM‑EDU Conference on Innovation and Educational Improvement, held on December 11, 2025, at the Bellaterra Campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
The event brought together more than 400 professionals from 22 countries, aiming to share experiences and strategies to drive educational transformation through technology and artificial intelligence.
The conference featured a keynote by Cristina Mercader, UAB professor and CRiEDO member, who delivered the presentation “Artificial Intelligence in Teaching”, offering insights into the impact of digital tools on teaching and learning processes.
In addition, Joaquín Gairín, CRiEDO director, took part in the opening session and in discussion panels on educational innovation, reinforcing the center’s commitment to applied research and knowledge transfer.
The event combined in-person and virtual sessions, with 115 speakers and 16 online workshops covering topics such as emotional education, technopedagogy, STEAM, design thinking, and practical applications of AI. Innovative resources and specialized publications in the educational field were also showcased.
As host, CRiEDO reaffirms its mission to foster innovation and continuous improvement in educational institutions, promoting collaboration among researchers, teachers, and institutional leaders.
