On October 6 and 7, training activities in Digital Teaching Competence began at level C2 of the Catalan Reference Framework (2022).
Digital Teacher Competence Training responds to the training needs of early childhood, primary and secondary education teachers in the knowledge, use and mastery of digital technologies in education. The set of training offered is located at level C2 of the Catalan Reference Framework published in 2022, in line with BOE No. 116, of May 16, 2022, through the Resolution of May 4, 2022. This training is offered free of charge to active teachers in public, subsidized and private compulsory education centers in Catalonia.
The training plan of the specialization diploma is articulated in 5 subjects: (1) digital competence in educational environments, (2) organizational aspects and management of digital resources, (3) universal design of learning environments, (4) tools and resources current digital and (5) synthesis work. Likewise, it has a specifically practical component with the holding of 4 workshops: (1) robotics and programming, (2) simulations, (3) STEAM and (4) augmented, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
The training is developed from a grant from the Department of Education for the Digital Boost in education within the framework of component 19 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU. Likewise, training at level C1 of teaching digital competence will begin in January 2024, developed within the same budgetary framework.
