An agreement was signed on July 27, which will begin to provide, the Postgraduate Diploma in Teachers´ Training for University Teaching and Master in University Teaching  and Management, starting from October, 2012.

On July 27, 2012, an agreement was signed between the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Tarapacá (Chile) for the realization of the Diploma in Teacher ´s Training for University Teaching and Master in University Teaching and Management. The training programme, led by Dr. Joaquin Gairín from Department of Applied Pedagogy and located in the Faculty of Educational Science, will have 160 academics who teach at the University of Tarapacá and will take place between October, 2012 and December, 2014.

Its importance dose not show so much in the allocated financial resources (411,422 euros) but more in the recognition that the research group EDO receives;  for its mission in blended learning ("formación semipresencial ") and his long experience in training programs of university teaching and management. The guideline of training that has concreted and developed similar programs in Argentina, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico and other Latin American countries has been going on well. The guideline of training also works well with the development and participation in numerous studies related to the improvement of university teaching which is nationally or internationally funded by local organizations.
