1st PhD Candidates International Meeting

The 1st PhD Candidates International Meeting was addressed to those candidates who are developing their doctoral thesis in the Educational Doctorate Program in the Educational Sciences Faculty at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, under the direction of an EDO member. This meeting had four goals:

- Exchange experiences and knowledge.
- Strengthening the relationship between candidates and EDO Group.
- Knowing the work lines, research studies and products elaborated. 
- Presenting training, innovation and cooperation actions developed by EDO. 

The meeting could happen thanks to the presence of the PhD candidates, which presented that morning their thesis follow-ups. Thanks to this meeting it was possible to know closer the research lines that develop EDO subgroups, to see the possibilities of collaboration in the research studies that are being developed, and the viability of being linked to EDO group once their training process is finished. 

The seminar was appreciated by all the attendants, which means that is foreseen a second edition of it in 2016 during the next thesis follow-ups. Moreover, EDO-UAB has encourage the PhD candidates to establish a network for candidates in order to help each other during their training program, given that 80% of the students are from abroad Spain and they can't have a face-to-face relationship with their colleagues.
