Authorship: Joaquín Gairín Sallán, María Verónica Leiva Guerrero
Editorial: EDO-Serveis-Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

This book is part of issue number 16 of the RedAGE Reports series and focuses on recent non-university educational reforms, their foundations, implementation, and outcomes, with the aim of responding to society’s new demands. These reforms, carried out in various Ibero-American countries over the past 25 years, seek to improve the quality and equity of education at the early childhood, primary, and secondary levels.

The study addresses structural problems, such as inequality in access to quality education, through changes in management, curriculum, assessment, teacher training, and school infrastructure.

The report includes contributions from 29 specialists from 10 countries, offering a detailed analysis of the historical, political, economic, social, and educational contexts that led to these reforms.

The main goal is to inform society and educational authorities about existing educational policies and actions and their outcomes, following the conclusions discussed and approved at the annual meeting of the Educational Management Support Network (RedAGE), held in Santiago de Chile in June 2024.
